Chris Stephen is a trial and appellate attorney. He focuses on resolving actions or potential actions in the manner most efficient and effective for his clients, even if that means taking cases to trial or seeking appellate relief. During his eight years of trial and appellate experience, Mr. Stephen has handled all manner of claims, from the simplest small claims matter to multi-million dollar, complex mass tort cases. Mr. Stephen is a general litigator, but has developed an experience focus in issues concerning toxic torts, electronic discovery, internet law, and general business litigation disputes. Mr. Stephen has substantially participated in proceedings, including jury trials, in state and federal courts in Indiana and Illinois, and before the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court. Before coming to Alerding Castor, Mr. Stephen worked as a litigator at Ice Miller LLP handling a variety of litigation matters.

Mr. Stephen holds a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Political Science from DePauw University and a J.D. from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. He and his wife, Valerie, have two young boys, Cole and Tyler.
